Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) extends the validity of Professional Identification Cards (PIC) of all professionals while the country is under Enhanced Community Quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines.

Here’s the official statement of PRC for the PIC validity extension:

Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 922 dated 8 March 2020 declaring a State of Public Health Emergency throughout the Philippines, the Enhanced Community Quarantine imposed over the entire Luzon, and the declared Local Community Quarantine by some of the Local Government Units in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the public that, the validity of the Professional Identification Card (PICs) of all professionals expiring during the period of community quarantine is extended until the lifting of the community quarantine period.

Further, please be advised that after the lapse of the extension period, all concerned professionals shall file their applications online for PIC renewal within thirty (30) days therefrom without accruing any surcharges/penalties.

Meanwhile, all professionals with confirmed renewal appointments within the Enhanced Community Quarantine period will be accommodated upon resumption of operations or upon the lifting of the quarantine period.

Real Estate Brokers and Salespersons are also included in PRC’s extension of the PIC validity due to COVID-19. It is advisable to take note of this and inform any clients asking for a valid PRC ID during the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
