The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Region V advises real estate service professionals to submit applications online. March 27, 2020, Friday, DHSUD Region V posted on their official Facebook page that real estate brokers, salespersons, and dealers can submit their application for registrations through the department’s email address at dhsudro5@gmail.com. The office is still accepting applications for processing amid the Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine period. DHSUD Region V further instructed that all applications should have complete requirements and must be in a PDF file format.

DHSUD Region V will collect payments for the application upon resumption of their office. Only those applications with complete documentary requirements will be processed for the issuance of the Provisional Certificate of Registration.

DHSUD is a new executive department of the Philippines responsible for the management of housing and related development in the Philippines through RA 11201. (Read More: Republic Act 11201) The department was formed last February 14, 2019, and was fully implemented starting January 1, this year.

On January 7, 2020, President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed former military man Eduardo del Rosario Secretary of the DHSUD, who was also the former chairperson of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council (HUDCC). As mandated by Republic Act 11201, HUDCC was later merged with the Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board to create the new department. (Read More: Duterte names heads of Housing Department)
